32nd Annual Bowl-A-Thon – Black and Gold Bowl is Saturday, May 2, 2026

Are YINZ Bowling?

On Saturday May 2, we’ll be celebrating all things Pittsburgh at our “Black and Gold Bowl”.
We’re hoping to combine all the fun of our annual event with a few nods to the unique culture of
Pittsburgh– the sports, the food, the “Pittsburgh-ese”!
Bowling teams are made up of 4-6 bowlers. Each team member commits to raising a minimum
of $50.00 to benefit our program. Junior Bowlers, ages 6-14, can participate with an adult for a
$20.00 donation. Bowlers under age 6 may bowl at no cost. All donations raised should be
brought and turned in at the team registration table, but can also be accepted prior to the event at
Cray’s main office. Each team member will receive TWO games of bowling, shoe rental,
refreshments, entertainment, and more! The event takes place at Sims Lanes in Beaver Falls.
Bowling kicks off at 4:00 PM, and bowlers should plan to arrive between 3:30 and 3:45. We
will also have door prizes and our popular auction.
Pre- Registration is required to bowl at this event. All bowlers who register before the deadline,
(4-20-26 at noon), will receive this year’s Bowl-a-thon T-shirt!
If your business is interested in sponsoring the event or donating an item to our auction, you can
download the sponsorship packet above. Event sponsors will be recognized before, during, and
after the event.
Cray Mentoring Program matches kids (ages 6-15) from single parent or non-traditional homes
with a volunteer mentor to participate in activities together and form a friendship. Compeer
Youth Lawrence County is affiliated with Compeer International, and matches kids (ages 6-17)
who have a mental health diagnosis like ADHD, depression, or anxiety with a mentor.
Bowl-A-Thon raises between 15-20% of the annual operating expenses for our mentoring
programs at Cray. These programs are funded completely by grants and donations. The profound
positive impact one caring adult outside of the immediate family can have on a child is well
documented. Becoming involved with our programs as a mentor, donor, or bowler makes you a
partner in our mission to “Make Life Better for Kids”.
