Class is back in session with the Compass Program.  The students are progressing very well with their academics and behaviors thus far into the school year.  Their effort and participation in the core subjects has been noteworthy.  The students recently completed biology projects concerning the topics of pH levels, and the food chain.  The fortunate weather has allowed for students to get outside often for physical education class.  Positive behaviors and manners are present in the Compass Program, as the students have bought into and carried out the topics provided in Social Skill instruction.  The Compass Program has also been privileged to partner with a local church in its efforts to pack shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.  This service project has proven to be a win-win scenario for all parties involved.  Finally, as the months wrap -up, our staff has had a difficult time choosing a “Student of the Month.”  This is a great problem to have, as more than a single recipient has been worthy of this award during our first few months of school

Best,

Mr. McBride
