Krause Youth Center
Krause Youth Center accepts youth ages 10 -18 who are in need of emergency shelter care or have been referred for out-of-home placement because of abuse, neglect, delinquency, and lack of parental control. Weekly counseling, social skills training, and drug and alcohol services are provided for students as determined through the development of their individual service plan . Youth 16 years of age and older attend Life Skills Group. Referrals are made through Lawrence County Children and Youth Services and Juvenile Probation.
Kirkwood Transitional Living Home
Transitional Apartment Living
These programs provide a residential option for youth ages 16 to 21 for whom the goal is living on their own in a successful manner. Training on the life skills necessary for independent living are provide by staff as well as on-going support and monitoring.
The Independent Living Program (ILP)
Serves youth (ages 16-21) who are currently in out-of-home placement. The program gives youth the opportunity to be self-sufficient. The program is able to accommodate all youth who have been placed by Lawrence County Children and Youth Services who meet the age requirements.
